Maximize Value, Not Just for Profit!

Increasing the bottom line, maximizing quarterly profits, and generating high returns for the shareholders are just a few of the ideas that come to mind when “creating value”. But is creating value and profit the same? Should profit be the only legitimate goal of a corporation? By focusing only on the bottom line, many companies have reduced their value to customers, employees, and society.

Value is a matter of perspective. Consideration must be given to different factors including marketing, finance, operations, customers, and employees as well as the community, environment, and our social responsibility.
